The Soybean Metabolome Repository (SoyMR) is a database that published data from comprehensive analysis (untargeted metabolome analysis) of small compounds using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) on leaves of soybean accessions provided by the World Soybean Core Collection.

The samples

We analyzed the leaves of 79 soybean accessions that were successfully grown out of 80 accessions provided by the World Soybean Core Collection (The Research Center of Genetic Resources, National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, NARO). The accessions numbered GmWMC 011, 018, 024, 159, 163, 176, and 183 were sampled twice, while the remaining strains were sampled once, yielding a total of 86 samples were analyzed.

mGWAS database

We conducted metabolite-genome-wide association analysis (mGWAS) using untargeted metabolome data and genome information obtained from each accession, and the results were compiled in the database, mGWAS Search. The database would help the users to construct working hypotheses for discovering novel metabolite-to-gene relationships.

Caution for compound annotations
The compound information provided in this repository is NOT the one that qualified and quantified by authentic methods.
  • It is not guaranteed that the compounds listed for the peak are present in the sample.
  • It is not guaranteed that the compounds not listed for the peak are absent in the sample.
We just provide the candidate compound names that were found in the compound database searching based on the mass value similarities to the detected peaks. Therefore, the results contain many false positives and false negatives. Please use the data with appropriate knowledge for untargeted metabolome analyses using LC-MS.
